Who God is — Daily A-C-T-S Prayers

(A-dore—C-onfession—T-hanksgiving —S-upplication/Request)

The example of the Lord’s Prayer—Pray then in this way:

Adore: Our Father who is in heaven.  Hallowed (Holy) is Your name.  Your Kingdom come.  Your Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Thanksgiving: Give us this day our daily bread.  Confession:  And forgive us our debts (sins) as we also have forgiven our debtors.  Supplication (request): And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from evil (Matthew 6:9-13).

The Bible says, … let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name (Hebrews 13:15)— Revelation 19:5, And a voice came from the throne, saying, “Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.”  The praises and thanksgivings for each day are designed to help you grow in your knowledge of God and in knowledge of your new self.  The Adore quotes are from “Pray!” Magazine issue #12.

GOD ANSWERS PRAYER

1 John 3:21-24 assures us that God will answer our prayers: “Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; 22) and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight. 23) This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. 24) The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”

If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you  (John 15:7).  Always remember, God can do immeasurably more than all you could ask or imagine (Eph 3:20).  And remember, God’s word will not return empty but will accomplish His desires and purposes. (Is. 55:11)

It is written: “I believed therefore I have spoken.” (Ps 116:10). With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak… (II Cor. 4:13)  And I declare new things; before they spring forth I proclaim them… (Is. 42:9b)  This is the confidence which we have before Him that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.  (I John 5:14,15)

Pray the following confession each day.

CONFESSION

Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my in most being, Praise His Holy name.  Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits—–who forgives all my sins, who heals all my diseases, who redeems my life from the pit and destruction (Ps. 40:2), who crowns me with love and tender mercies, and who satisfies my years* with good things so that my youth is renewed like the eagles (Ps 103:1-5).  * “years” is the rendered Hebrew translation.
