Who God is — Daily A-C-T-S Prayers

(A-dore—C-onfession—T-hanksgiving —S-upplication/Request)

The example of the Lord’s Prayer—Pray then in this way:

Adore: Our Father who is in heaven.  Hallowed (Holy) is Your name.  Your Kingdom come.  Your Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Thanksgiving: Give us this day our daily bread.  Confession:  And forgive us our debts (sins) as we also have forgiven our debtors.  Supplication (request): And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from evil (Matthew 6:9-13).

The Bible says, … let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name (Hebrews 13:15)—And a voice came from the throne, saying, “Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great” (Revelation 19:5).  The following praises and thanksgivings are designed to help you grow in your knowledge of God and grow in your knowledge of your new self.

The Adore quotes are from “Pray!” Magazine issue #12.

Also, pray the following confession each day.

CONFESSION

Father, I realize if there is sin in my life You won’t give attention to my prayer (Ps. 66:18; Is 59:1, 2).  Holy Spirit, remove pride and any deceiving spirits, then search my heart and examine my mind for unloving thoughts, feelings, or deeds  (Jer. 17:10; Rev. 2:23; Ps 139:23-24).  I confess ___ and ask Your forgiveness (I Jn 1:9).  I forgive ___ who has offended me and acted unloving by ___ (Matt.6:14).

LOVE is patient, kind (gentle), not envious (jealous), not boastful, not proud (arrogant), not rude (rough, harsh), not self-seeking, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil, rejoices with truth, always protects, trusts, hopes, perseveres, never fails (I Cor. 13:4-7).  I bind all these attributes to all of me.

Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my in most being, Praise His Holy name.  Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits—–who forgives all my sins, who heals all my diseases, who redeems my life from the pit and destruction (Ps. 40:2), who crowns me with love and tender mercies, and who satisfies my years* with good things so that my youth is renewed like the eagles (Ps 103:1-5).  * “years” is the rendered Hebrew translation.
